DAVIDE TAMMARO

Davide Tammaro is an Italian composer of concert music, film and media based in New York City.

His style can be described as modern with elements of tradition, with an emphasis on orchestral music.

Davide studied Classical Guitar at the San Pietro a Majella Music Conservatory in Naples, Italy. He is also a graduate of Berklee College of Music where he studied performance and Composition for Film and TV. Private studies in composition include Justin Dello Joio, internationally acclaimed composer and Julliard/ NYU Professor.

In 2017, Davide was selected for the Society Of Composer And Lyricist Mentor Program in NY, a competitive program where industry professionals mentor a small group of selected upcoming composers. Some of the mentors included Chris Hajian, Mark Roos, and Greg Pliska.

In 2018, Davide was invited to take part in the Columbia/ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop in NYC.

As a guitarist, Davide collaborated with many artists in the US, Italy and Abu Dhabi performing at important festivals such as SXSW in Austin, TX and Americanafest in Nashville, TN among many others.

Davide toured extensively across the US with indie rock band Animal Years, opening for the band Blues Traveler and sharing the stage with legendary harmonica player, John Popper.

In 2015, Davide released “Ghosts”, a funk-jazz album including 9 original compositions featuring some of the best musicians from the contemporary NY music scene.

Committed to writing unique and inspiring music of great emotional impact, Davide contributes to each project using the infinite palette of colors and moods that the music language has to offer.
